Coaching
Coaching kids is an incredibly rewarding experience and your input into our junior development is highly valued. You don't need to be an Aussie Rules expert to get involved. With the Coach Learning Platform developed by the AFL, you will become a nationally accredited coach. Plus it's completely FREE to become a coach.
Accreditation
For coaches coaching age groups from U8's to U12's you need to be accredited under the Foundation Junior Course, and for coaches coaching age groups from U13's to U18's it is the Foundation Youth Course.
All coaches are required to be accredited via the AFL's Coaching Platform. New coaches sign up by creating a profile, undertaking a mandatory online coaching program relevant to the Age Group and complete the online module, Vilification and Discrimination.
Renewing coaches need to ensure they update their profile to the relevant age group they are coaching to ensure they are accredited to the correct Foundation program.
