Before The Game

Administration

  • Complete the team sheet before the game starts
  • Ensure all players and officials are listed correctly
  • Check jumper numbers match the team sheet

Team Setup

  • Ensure only approved officials are in the bench area:
    • Head Coach
    • Assistant Coach
    • Trainer
    • Runner (if applicable)
  • Keep the bench area clear of parents and spectators

Ground Setup (Home Games)

  • Confirm ground inspection has been completed
  • Ensure boundaries and safety zones (3m) are set
  • Confirm interchange area is marked

During The Game

Behaviour and White Card

  • Monitor sideline behaviour at all times
  • Address any issues with parents or spectators early
  • Support umpires and ensure no one argues decisions
  • Be aware that poor behaviour may result in a White Card

You are responsible for managing the behaviour of your team’s spectators.

Interchange and Bench

  • Ensure only permitted people are in the bench area
  • No coaching from outside the designated bench
  • Ensure water carriers follow rules (no coaching/messages)

Umpire Support

  • Do not approach umpires during play
  • Only Umpire Escorts can approach umpires with issues
  • Assist if any issues arise as intructed by the umpire
  • Maintain a respectful environment at all times

After The Game

Wrap Up

  • Check in with the umpire:
    Confirm the final score
    Confirm any incidents or reports
  • Ensure players shake hands and show respect

Administration

  • Enter results in PlayHQ by 9pm
  • Update the team sheet and remove any non-playing players

Key Reminders

  • Team Managers are responsible for sideline behaviour
  • Respect for umpires is non-negotiable
  • White Card means immediate action is required
